Previously, this support was available to Band 2 users who had it paired up to a Windows Phone handset, but arguably there will be many who would rather just use the Band with their Android smartphone. It has taken several months after that for Microsoft to ultimately follow through, and now it has. The app arrived in December last year but it didn’t feature support for the assistant. The Band 2 was released in October 2015 and that’s when Microsoft said that its digital personal assistant will work with the Band on both iOS and Android users once it was out of beta.
